For Secondary Schools and Colleges

For students in secondary schools and colleges, appraching adulthood, I can design and deliver sessions working with age-appropriate story to support their personal development in terms of (for example)presentation skills, understanding of narrative structure, articulacy and self-confidence.

These may be linked to specific curriculum study areas or wider preparation for life in the world. A particular example is my workshop exploring the complexities of the roots and present realities of the continuing tensions in Israel/Palestine. ‘Many Tongues in the Holy Land’, prompts reflection and thoughtful debate on fundamental moral issues and questions of ‘society’, using the story of my personal journey to that troubled area, and the stories I heard from ordinary people living there to prompt

Another recent example is work which I did with a colleague in partnership with Ulfah Arts (http://www.ulfaharts.co.uk/) helping secondary students prepare for their Eid festival
