Historic Deal Party bookings welcome – most days and times by arrangement – special rates available. The new season of regular weekly walks will soon be starting. I’m planning to build on our first season last summer, when we had visitors from France, Germany and Scandinavia, many parts of the UK, and notably from right here!. Some people just couldn’t get enough, joining several walks over the weeks. We had many compliments and even a thank you card! I already have some confirmed special tours for group bookings this season, so to fix up yours, phone me on 07932 794251.
Walking with Beowulf on the Isle of Harty – Premiering on 2nd June, in partnership with the North Kent Walking Festival, I’m leading a highly topical performance walk inspired by the recently publicised connection between the oldest written tale in England and our very own county. Starting from the car park of the Harty Ferry Inn, we’ll follow a circular route through atmospheric countryside with splendid views across the Estuary, hearing Beowulf along the way, visit the 900 year-old Church of St Thomas the Apostle, before returning across the fields to the Inn (where you might want to book a table if you want a meal)
